VBS QuickDev IDE Installation Files

VBS QuivkDev IDE is an extensable VBS script development environment made completely with and reliant on WScript, VBScript, JavaScript, IE-DOM, HTA, and COM technologies.

VBS QuickDev IDE is targeted at Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP environments runing IE5.5+ with WScript 5.6 installed.

Useful to very useful VBS and WScript examples are plentiful, and can be found around the web.
You can easily incorporate any VBS or WScript you create or come across into the VBS QuickDev IDE for easy code reuse and development.

The VBS QuickDev IDE Installtion set has been broken into 9 mini-disks below.

The instruction for Installing VBSQuickDevIDE are in the VBSQuickDevIDE folder after it is reconstituted. You should be able to copy the files to cd and autorun it, or just double-click on the Agreement.hta file. Further instructions are contained in the Installation Set.

The instructions for recombining the minidisks into the Installation Set along with a script to automate the work is listed below.

IMPORTANT
Everything about VBS QuickDev IDE, including the installaition software is some form of script.
Symantec (Norton), McAfee, and other anti-virus software might (read will) alert you erroneously that a possible virus is attacking your system. You will have to let that software know that you want to run the script or it will not let you install the IDE.

VBS QuickDev IDE Setup. Download all 9 mini disks.

Save all 9 files to the same directory.

Step 1:
- Copy all 9 zipped disks to your system, and unzip them into the same directory.

Copy and paste the code below and save it as VBSQDGlue.vbs in the same folder as the 9 unzipped mini-disks.

Step 3:
- Double click the VBSQDGlue.vbs file to rebuild the Installation Set. Resolve any Anti-Virus Alerts.
Step 4:
- Read the ReadMe.txt instructions in the newly created VBSQuickDevIDE folder
  and double-click the Agreement.hta file Resolve any Anti-Virus Alerts.

The code behind VBS QuickDev IDE is not too complex, nor too volumnous, and as such the code is left in plain text with no obfuscation so you can attain the maximum in extensability and customization.

A last note:
Please make and keep an origional copy of the IDE in the offchance a modification you create breaks it. That way all you need to do is paste the copy into place and your off coding again.
